Experienced cyclists in particular are well aware that cycle routes – just like hiking trails – have varying degrees of difficulty. In Dziwnów and Dziwnówek every cyclist, regardless of the level of advancement, will find a route for themselves. This is one of the reasons why it is worth coming to this area.
Those who are just beginning their adventure with cycling should start with routes running through flat terrain with a well-paved surface. Advanced cyclists may try more demanding terrain – routes with sandy or muddy sections. In Dziwnów and Dziwnówek you can also use routes which can be successfully overcome by families with children.

‘Around the Baltic Sea’ is an international cycle route (EuroVelo 10). As the name suggests, the route goes around the Baltic Sea basin. Cyclists taking this route have a total of 8539 km to cover. Quite a lot, isn’t it? It is worth starting your warm-up with the section that passes through Dziwnów. In this way you can safely reach the village of Wisełka.
What else is worth knowing? The Polish section of the ‘Dookoła Bałtyku’ trail is still being extended. Some cyclists may find this an additional attraction – you can test your skills in more difficult conditions.
It is also possible to cycle from Dziwnów to Międzyzdroje. The Międzyzdroje-Dziwnów cycle path is a picturesque route with an average level of difficulty. Although it runs through forest areas, the varied terrain (hills, dips) requires concentration on riding.
The Międzyzdroje-Dziwnów cycling path is quite long and takes about 3.5 hours to complete. Therefore, it is recommended rather to advanced cyclists, who will not be discouraged from further bicycle trips at a distance of almost 33 km. The reward, however, is the opportunity to visit one of the most popular Polish resorts.
The Pobierowo-Dziwnów cycling route is another one worth considering. Compared to the Międzyzdroje-Dziwnów cycle path, it is shorter and easier – you need to cover 16.1 km, which on average takes about 1 hour and 40 minutes. An additional plus are the views and the sound of the waves, which accompany cyclists on windier days. It is also a route ideal for military enthusiasts. Why go.
Pobierowo-Dziwnów is a cycling route running along the Baltic coastline. During World War II, there were numerous artillery fortifications and bunkers here. Today, remnants remind us of history, which can be seen up close. Perhaps in the future these historical monuments will be more exposed – new coastal cycle paths are still being built in the north of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship.
The R10 cycle route is very popular among cyclists – it runs from Swinoujscie to Trzęsacz. Those in good shape can set off on this route from our hotel. It is worth doing so, if only because of the numerous attractions waiting for cyclists. What exactly are we talking about?
On the route you will find, among other things, the Świnoujście forts. The history of fortifications in Świnoujście is long and dates back to the 17th century. As there are lighthouses in the area and some of them are open to tourists, it is a great way to see West Pomerania from a different perspective. Cyclists can also enjoy the bison enclosure and Lake Czajcze – the second largest lake on Wolin Island.
The described cycling routes are not all that Dziwnów and Dziwnówek offer. We also recommend other routes which allow you to get to know the area better:
The cycle route from Międzywodzie to Unin – the route is described as a ‘cycle passage’ and will appeal to beginner cyclists as it is paved with concrete slabs.
The cycling route from Dziwnów to Dziwnówek – it is worth seeing the excavations of the chalk mine, whose history dates back to the Middle Ages. The trail runs through a coastal forest;
The cycle route from Świnoujście to Wolin – it is a route running along the Szczecin Lagoon with numerous attractions, including the open-air museum of Slavs and Vikings in Wolin and Turquoise Lake, to which an unusual gate leads.
